The popular 24 Hours series continues with 24 Hours - Windrock.

This competition will take place at The Appalachian Toyota Roundup ( ATR ) ( Participants MUST have passes for The Appalachian Toyota Round-UP event ) 

  • Three components -
  • Navigation
  • Canoeing
  • Shooting

Eight (8) segments of 3-hours each, Teams pick which waypoints they want to tackle and how many points they wish to acquire.

All teams compete in the same class.

12 HOURs OPTION 

Don't have 24 Hours to spare ?  Try the 12 Hours option , Only ONE team wins in this competition , NO SECOND PLACE , NO THIRD PLACE , $95 per person Teams requirements

  • Two (2) people , one(1) vehicle = Minimum
  • Twelve (12) people, Three (3) vehicles = Maximum

  • GATES OPEN for primitive camping starting 3:00 pm September 1st 
  • EVENT REGISTRATION TIME: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm September 1st, 2nd 
  • MANDATORY TEAM MEETING: 11:00 am Saturday September 3rd  (All team members must be present)
  • EVENT STARTS: 12:00 pm (noon) Saturday, September 3rd, 2022

What Is The 24-Hours Event?

  • 24 hours is a challenging event that uses geo-locations /waypoints, canoeing, overlanding techniques and allows you to test your skills with handguns and assault rifles and shotguns

****IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years old and able to do physically challenging exercises.
  • Vehicles must pass a safety check and have standard safety equipment: fire extinguisher,  first aid kit, essential recovery gear, and a working GPS.
  • Teams can consist of a minimum of one vehicle / two people and a maximum of 3 vehicles / 12 people.
  • Keep in mind that there are pros and cons to a small team versus large teams.

Required Equipment And Gear

  • Vehicles must be 4x4
  • Street legal vehicle(s)
  • 40" is the maximum height for tires
  • Each vehicle must have at least one spare tire
  • Enough canoes to transport your entire team
  • Paddles
  • PFDs ( Personal Flotation Devices )
  • Hi-lift style jack for each vehicle
  • Recovery attachment points on both the front and rear of each vehicle
  • Recovery gear for EACH vehicle
  • Properly fitting helmet - "Open-faced " helmets are allowed Must have DOT certification, Protect your noggin
  • Vehicles must pass a "safety" inspection, all lights must work properly, NO OPEN EXHAUST, Again, MUST BE STREET LEGAL. No SXS are allowed
  • Each team member must have a good pair of work gloves
  • Each team must be able to use the internet and possess a social media account like Facebook and Instagram
  • Standard camping gear - Tents, sleeping bags, cooking stove, utensils, pots and pans, and matches or lighters.

What Is ALLOWED And What Is NOT ALLOWED

  • Teams can use their camping area as a basecamp. Teams are allowed to leave gear at their campsite to access at any time.
  • If a team wants to "lighten" their vehicles and leave camping gear at their site, We will allow it.
  • Teams can buy gas and food at ANY TIME during the competition. Teams can drive to pick up an alternator or other parts. All of that is ALLOWED.
  • CANOES must remain on race vehicles the entire 24 hours of the event .
  • Winches are NOT mandatory 

 

We Encourage Teams To "Work" Together And Use Their Collective Minds To Gain A Competitive Edge. We Encourage That Teams Read All Materials And Guide Books First To Ensure Efficiency.
